Meeting Room 2A

Join us for an overview of how to write a standard project grant proposal to a foundation. Age 18 and up.

Are you new to grant proposal writing or want a quick refresher? This class will provide you with an overview of how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation, including:

  • The basic elements of a proposal
  • The "do's" and "don'ts" of writing and submitting a proposal
  • How to follow up whether the answer is Yes or No
  • A hands-on exercise to develop a proposal outline

For information on what funders are looking for in nonprofits seeking grants and how to identify potential funders, please watch Candid's presentation recording.

This Nonprofit Central class is brought to you in partnership with Candid, a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits serve their communities. As a Candid community member, we offer Candid’s key tools including GuideStar and Foundation Directory. Library patrons can access GuideStar to research local nonprofits to support and to find services. Nonprofits seeking funding can also access Foundation Directory to find and connect with funders. Please contact Jack Kovaleski at jkovaleski@mcpl.info if you have any questions about this program.
