To celebrate the Armstrong Exhibit of works by Matthew Cordell, the Bloomington Storytellers Guild will present the playlet "Cornbread and Poppy." Age 5 and up.
Cornbread and Poppy have some fun to share with young readers. A playlet based on scenes from the books, a craft project, and a docent led tour of Matthew Cordell's original, Caldecott award-winning art will be included in this program. Members of the Bloomington Storytellers Guild and retired MCPL librarians will present this program. This program is being presented as a part of the Marian Armstrong Exhibit of Matthew Cordell's Neighborhood.
This exhibition was organized by the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature in Abilene, Texas.
