Write with Merle

Weekly Writing Group with Merle Bachman

Poet and author Merle Bachman is hosting a weekly writing group at the Downtown Library! Come for the writing prompts, to discuss your work, or just to have dedicated time to write. Age 18 and up.

Merle Lyn Bachman loves to write. A retired professor of English, she has worked with college students and adults on creative writing. Merle is also an accomplished poet and prose writer. Her latest book, Thank You for Being, combines poetry and prose in a memoir. Relatively new to Bloomington, Merle has lived in and written about many places, from Albany, New York, to San Francisco, California. She believes that everyone has important stories and moments of wonder to share, and looks forward to writing with you.

Note: This program is a drop-in program for writers. Come to any (and all) sessions you feel you can attend.
