Enjoy classic works from the ancient Greek storyteller Aesop. These fables include classic tales such as "The Tortoise and the Hare" and "The Mouse and the Lion." Ages 5-12.
Reimagining Opera for Kids is a Bloomington-based traveling children's opera troupe that gives free children's opera performances to kids and families throughout Monroe County and its surrounding counties. Their mission is to introduce children and youth to performing arts through free or accessibly-subsidized performance and curriculum guides, and to give musicians the opportunity to hone and share their performance skills through community engagement.
This program is in partnership with Reimagining Opera for Kids.
The Southwest Branch, recently opened in 2023 and located next to Batchelor Middle School, has reservable meeting rooms, spaces for children and teens, a teaching kitchen, and an amphitheater.
