The Junior Explorers is a new community for young nature lovers! Join us for stories, lessons, and crafts to prepare families for an upcoming group hike at a local park! Ages 2-7.
The Junior Explorers Meetings will be held once a month in the Downtown Library Children's Program Room. Join us for nature-related stories, lessons, and crafts for kids and their families centered around our monthly topic.
This month's topic is conservation for kids. In celebration of Earth Day, young children will enjoy stories and songs about environmental conservation, and adults will learn some tips for practicing sustainability at home. Additionally, families will create their very own household composter for food scraps.
Please contact Jon Stevens at jstevens@mcpl.info if you have any questions about this program.
The Downtown Library is in the heart of Downtown Bloomington, located right on Kirkwood Avenue. It provides a variety of meeting rooms, spaces for children and teens, a digital creativity center, and much more.
