Looking for grants for your nonprofit and not sure where to begin? Come learn how to use Candid's Foundation Directory, a prospect research tool with over 239,000 grantmaker profiles. Age 18 and up.

Learn how to use Foundation Directory to search for grantmakers who have funded organizations working on causes and with communities similar to those you serve. Following a presentation, you will have the opportunity to conduct your own searches and ask questions. Please bring a laptop or other device that connects to the internet if you wish to participate in this research lab portion. Note: This workshop is for nonprofit organizations looking for funding. It is not geared to individuals seeking grants.

This Nonprofit Central class is brought to you in partnership with Candid, a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits serve their communities. As a Candid community member, we offer Candid's key tools including GuideStar and Foundation Directory. Library patrons can access GuideStar to research local nonprofits to support and to find services. Nonprofits seeking funding can also access Foundation Directory to find and connect with funders.

Please contact Jack Kovaleski at jkovaleski@mcpl.info if you have any questions about this program.
