Learn more about becoming a VITAL Adult Basic Literacy Tutor! Completing an orientation session is mandatory before volunteering in VITAL. Age 18 and up.
This orientation session provides an overview of the VITAL Adult Basic Literacy program, a tour of VITAL resources, and the expectations of volunteers, learners, and staff involved. Additional training sessions may be required for volunteers without previous experience.
Note: Volunteers should plan to spend two to three hours per week on VITAL activities. A six-month commitment is preferred, but shorter time frames can usually be accommodated. Learn more about VITAL tutoring.
