This month's selection is My Friends by Fredrik Backman. Our meeting location is Morgenstern Books (849 S. Auto Mall Road, Bloomington).
Book summary:
Louisa, an aspiring artist, becomes fascinated by three mysterious figures in a famous painting and sets out to uncover their story. 25 years earlier, a group of teenagers found friendship, escape, and hope on an abandoned pier in a seaside town. When the painting from that summer unexpectedly falls into Louisa’s hands, she embarks on a cross-country journey to discover its origins—and learns about the lasting power of friendship, love, and art.
