The Junior Explorers is a new community for young nature lovers. Join us for stories and lessons all about making your very own garden. Paint your own garden stones. Ages 2-7.
The Junior Explorers Meetings will be held once a month in the Downtown Library Children's Program Room. Join us for nature-related stories, lessons, and crafts for kids and their families centered around our monthly topic.
This month's topic is all about gardening. Young children will enjoy stories about gardening and a visit to the Downtown Library's own community garden. Adults will learn some tips for starting or adding to a home garden. Additionally, families will paint their own garden stones to put in the MCPL garden or take home with them.
Please contact Jon Stevens at jstevens@mcpl.info if you have any questions about this program.
The Downtown Library is in the heart of Downtown Bloomington, located right on Kirkwood Avenue. It provides a variety of meeting rooms, spaces for children and teens, a digital creativity center, and much more.
