Meeting Room A/B ComboThe MCPL Board of Trustees meets monthly at the Library and all are welcome to attend in person or via live stream at https://zoom.mcpl.info. All ages.
Monroe County Public Library (MCPL) Board of Trustees meetings are typically held on the Third Wednesday of every month at 5:45 p.m. in Meeting Room 1B/C, first floor, Downtown Library. June meetings are held at the Ellettsville Branch in Room A/B and September meetings are held at the Southwest Branch in Room A/B. You may join board meetings virtually via zoom.mcpl.info.
The board is the policy-making body of the Library and determines such matters as hours open, holidays, vacations, salaries, and also works with the Library Director in preparing the MCPL budget. The board hires and advises the Library Director in the operation of the Library. The board meets monthly; meetings are open to the public. Meeting agenda with time and location are posted in various locations in the Library 48 hours in advance. Meetings are cablecast live on the government channel of Community Access Television Services (CATS).

Southwest Branch
The Southwest Branch, recently opened in 2023 and located next to Batchelor Middle School, has reservable meeting rooms, spaces for children and teens, a teaching kitchen, and an amphitheater.
