Learn more about becoming a VITAL English as a New Language tutor! Completing an orientation session is mandatory before volunteering in VITAL. Age 18 and up.

This orientation session provides an overview of the VITAL English language program, a tour of VITAL resources, and the expectations of volunteers, learners, and staff involved. Additional training is available online through Canvas.

Note: Volunteers should plan to spend two to three hours per week on VITAL activities. A six-month commitment is preferred, but shorter time frames can usually be accommodated. Learn more about VITAL tutoring.
